Professionals require full involvement in all aspects of the project from beginning to end, offering total accountable services.

Preliminary Concept & Design Development

  • Initial meeting to understand the details and requirements of your space
  • Compile & analyze needs/goals of all stakeholders
  • Feasibility studies to examine how people interact within the space
  • Functional programming to develop your space needs
  • Master planning for interiors of overall buildings
  • Preliminary space planning
  • Lease assistance plan and space evaluation for tenant, developers and/or real estate
  • Floor plans, sketches and conceptual design
  • Colours, materials and finishes selection to reflect your brand and values
  • Budgeting and timeline schedules

Construction documentation and tendering

  • Prepare working drawings, contract documents, and specifications to obtain permits and pricing for interior construction
  • Construction drawings reflecting all your decisions in the planning process
  • Specifications of materials, finishes, furnishings, and fixtures
  • Millwork layout drawings and detailed product descriptions
  • Building, fire, municipal codes, and any other jurisdictional statutes, regulations, and guidelines. Schedules and stamped plans for the City are provided where applicable. These documents can only be provided by a licensed interior designer or registered architect in Alberta.
  • Building code review and barrier-free requirements
  • Assist in the bidding and tendering (construction and/or furnishings) to best match with your budget and timeline
  • Contract administration
  • Regular on-site visit to respond to inquiries
  • Co-ordination with architects, engineers, and contractors as a cohesive team of professionals
  • Final site deficiency report to confirm all construction is built as per drawings and with a high degree of workmanship and quality.

Furniture and Equipment Procurement

  • Identify needs and requirements to generate furniture layouts and systems furniture plans
  • Develop furniture standards package for corporate offices
  • Specify products, complete with all applicable colours and finishes
  • Prepare tender documents, or work with your preferred local vendor
  • Evaluate existing furniture inventory recommended for re-purpose and re-use
  • Complete final deficiency report on furniture install

Move-In Management

  • Facilitate the discussion and coordination of the move with staff
  • Change management to assist in the preparation of the move
  • Recommend local movers and coordinate the move

On More Extensive Commercial Projects

  • Functional programming and feasibility studies
  • Lease assist for healthcare, corporate and retail spaces
  • Custom millwork cabinetry design
  • Corporate branding and identity design

For the More Budget Conscious

  • 2 hr. walk-through study and evaluation report
  • Short term design mentoring. Colours & finishes only to a maximum of 4-6 hours
